I fixed the issue for myself by disabling the mod Dynamic Surroundings. It seems that it was causing the crash. If you have that mod try disabling it and see if it works.
I've got the same issue, hopefully, someone can find the solution. It's not because of outdated Java because I've tried Java 11, 8 and 7 and none of them worked.

How will we recieve this fix? Is it just a simple download and install (when it is made) or is it more complex?
