Thank you so much, I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW STRESSED THIS MADE ME
Have you actually used the forge loader? Here's a link to help you out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLDYbR3iQx4 (skip to 1:40 for the actual tutorial.)
This is the error message I get when loading or creating a Minecraft world:
The game crashed whilst unexpected error
Error: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/openjdk/nashorn/api/scripting/NashornScriptEngineFactory has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 53.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0
Exit Code: -1
There may be a problem with one of the mods because this only happened as soon as I downloaded some more mods. I've tried to search for solutions but it looks like it's only for scripters and there's nothing about Minecraft. I've also considered that it may be because my version of java is out of date. Please help?
