by default it load 3X3 chunks you can change it in the config file 0 = 1X1, 1 = 3x3, 2 = 5X5 .......
Chunkloader Recipe you can set the recipe on or off in the cfg.file
Hello, works great, but one small bug, in 1.12 the chunk loaders don't automatically load themselves up on server boot, you first have to load them by going to the location they exist in, and only then will the chunks stay loaded, please advise when we might expect a fix for this bug, thanks a lot, great mod you're making here!
I like the custom blightfall Recipe thank you very much]
EDIT: Wait wrong chunkloader
Hello, not sure if you'll get this. but it was updated recently so yeah.
Possible Bug: Crops wont work when I am far away. I play on Single Player survival, but do use creative at times through LAN-Allow Cheats- etc.
I edited the config to load only 1x1 chunks and then placed about 50-60 chunk loader blocks at bedrock level. And the Chunks they are in do not continue growing crops (potatoes, carrots, wheat, beets) while my character is far away.
Glowstone was near crops, and time was set to day all the time.
Can this be fixed in configs or something? or does it not support crops? (in which case whats the point?)
Doesnt work between dimensions
you get to be in my pack just because you are coded simpler than chicken chunks ;)
same doesn't work on 1.10.2
chunks don't stay loaded when i go out of range from other mod (spawner)
Doesn't work on 1.10.2
Chunks don't stay loaded after logging out.
You say that by default it loads 3X3 chunks. Does that mean that this loads a total of 2304 blocks (9 -16x16x16 chuncks) or does it only load a total of 27 blocks( 3x3x3 blocks)?
Any clarification would be nice.
Chunkloaders are simply blocks that load chunks based on where they are, as though a player were loading them. To understand exactly what chunk (no pun intended) of your world is loaded, you must get to a technical level.
As most players know, the Minecraft world is split into 16x16 "chunks". Minecraft will load chunks in when you come close enough. The place of a chunk NEVER changes, to say a loader loads, for example, 48 blocks around it would be wrong. It would load 3 chunks around it. This means that if I place two chunkloaders in the same chunk, they will load the same area. Minecraft will always load all 256 layers, so a chunkloader in layer 1 is no different to a chunkloader in layer 256.
A LESS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION HERE:
Complexity cut out, (yes, this bit will only give you a "wooly" understanding) your 3X3 chunks at minimum will stretch 16 blocks NESW(North/East/South/West), at maximum 31 blocks out NESW and all 256 layers.
I hope this is of help.
Where's the source code?
It's kinda spammy in the server console, any way you could change that?
Also breaking the chunkloading block with hand breaks it instantly and yields no item, could you make the block harder to mine to make accidental breaking harder?
Other than that it seems to work as intended in 1.10.2 with Forge 2010 on the server!
Thanks for the Info update will come in 1-2 Hours
Thank you for fixing those! I updated and noticed that the chunkloaders don't work after a server restart - you need to load them first(the area they're in) so they start working.
Could you please look into that?
Hi can you test the new update please
Now I have absolutely no issues with it! (except that the texture could be better, but hey, it works and that matters the most :D), thanks a lot!
Sadly, this won't load for me in v1.9.4. :(
new version fixed load in 1.9.4
Thank you for your quick work. It loads fine now. :)
Wooo! I've previously been using OpenComputers robots and those damned EU grid-powered things. FTB Utilities chunk loads, but not across dimensions.
Hopefully this is a simple no-frills cross-dimension loader.
