Clock HUD
I was mining one day, and found it annoying that I didn't know what time it was on the surface. Since carrying a clock around is inconvenient, (especially early game before I have gold) I decided to make a simple HUD element to fix it. The HUD shows the current progress through the day or night, and can be toggled on or off.

Would you be able to add a customizable day length? I have a mod that allows me to specify the length of a day cycle and it's throwing the clock off. :(
Does the dev still update this mod? I can't figure out why suddenly my HUD isn't visible anymore. It only appears when I have the game paused now, which is strange because it used to work just fine.
I play with lots of other mods, but I don't know where else to ask for help.
Hmm, that is strange. Have you tried toggling the HUD on and off or switching the key bind? It might be conflicting with something.

Great mod, thanks for making it :)
Nice mod!
I would appreciate, if currently not implemented to include the moon phases.

nice addition, thank you :-)...
i wish this clock could slowdown Day/Night time cycle, just thinking.
Getting a crash with the latest version:

1.3.2 fixed this!
Can you configure its placement via config settings? If not, can that be added?
You can! You can actually edit the placement and size in the mods tab of the main menu in Minecraft.
I had feature request I wanted to ask, but it appears you've dropped 1.7 support, :( I don't blame ya, thanks for your work.
Btw, love your profile pic, I just finished reading through act 3 (First 1154 chapters) a couple of days ago. :D
I'd still like to hear it! (Might make it into the 1.8 version) Unfortunately I don't get much development time anymore.
Hey, sorry for the 1-month late response, I think this notification got lost among all the others, :( , because I didn't check regularly enough.
Basically the idea was that you would have to build a clock first and then put it in a new armor slot, or "eat" it (if the programming for that would be too hard), in order to see the HUD. That way it wouldn't seem like an instinctual and op thing to Steve, but he would actually have to build the device first. That way the clock wouldn't be completely replaced and would still be useful.
Plus, I think it would be more true to vanillia than other time mods because it would be an approximation rather than the exact time.
Either way, thanks for asking. And I hope that whatever you do goes well, whether it be your dev time or whatever you need/love, :D
Like to inform you I will be utilizing your mod ClockHUD in a FTB private server modpack, by request of my player base. This mod is simple and a nice fit.
Great textures, mate, even if I won't use this mod, it seems like a pretty good start, carry on o/
