1.13 version for RIFT is out ;)
The Recipes
The thin pillar recipe is a vertical line of 3 blocks, in the middle of the crafting box.
The middle ingredient is a clay ball (it's a shaped recipe !)
NB : before 3.2.0, the recipe was 3 similar blocks, in the middle of the crafting box
The full pillar recipe is a shapeless recipe of 2 thin pillars (and is reversible)

Possible ideas of update :
- add a new model with a second layer to add new pillar kind
- add a 3X3 pillar (8 pillars/blockId)
- add a pillar(unique id) that get his texture from the block below the pillar's base.
Special thanks
@Mr_crayfish : the model has been partially done with MrCrayfish's Model Creator
Can we have penta-, hexa- and octa pillars, too?
And if yes, is it possible to use vines on one side to make it mossy?
In reply to Schreibfeder:
It's not really possible as json model only allows some defined angles of rotation. (Octo is what was the pillar in old version, now it's a 16 faces model that looks rounded)
Some pillars already have a mossy version, and i'm waiting to see the 1.13 before adding some layers on model (mossy, snowy version for example)
I'll probably add the chisel mossy version when i'll add this ;)
Is it possible to make a config files to choose the model "rounded" and make an other model more minecraft "square" ? Or is it to complicated ?

I understand but i think there're already some mods that could do this in a square shape. (i think there're bark in quark)
Edit : i'll keep your idea in mind, because it only requires to target a different model.

Would it possible to make pillars go horizontal? Corners?
In reply to nexusdog:
Corners?

But you posted a bug and i'm waiting details because i made tests.
Thank you for making a great mod and for making addons to support other mods. I have very little coding knowledge so don't know if it's possible but it would be nice if there was a way of making 'fatter' pillars by placing a 2x2 formation of a new 'large pillar block'. There are also some situations where it would be useful if the fence posts 'connected' to the pillars. Feel free to ignore me these are just things I thought while building.
Thanks again for all you hard work.
In reply to chellielh:
For the fence, i'm not sure to be able to adapt it (except if i do like torch/button and replace them)
Why can monsters spawn in in the pillars? For example I used the pillars (redwood from BoP) for an outdoor roof over my horse enclosure. That night a zombie appeared in the pen. I am also using Light Level overlays and they show a 0 on top of the pillars in spite of the fact that another one is on top of it. Is this something that I can fix in a setting? Or do I simply have to live with it and put the pillars outside my fence?

It's probably what you want, i'll patch it tomorrow :)
Alright thank you

I like all your mods, I just have one tiny thing, you adjusted the torches on the side but wouldnt it be nice if the flame would be at the same spot?
