Dragon's Radio Mod
Dragon's Radio Mod adds a single block to the world - a radio. It is not simply a prerecorded sound player or dummy, It plays actual radio streams from the internet. For that you need a radio stream link that provides mp3 stream with m3u or pls extention. Audio stream will be client sided, so the radio does not cause any lag to server, and client side code is enough effective to play on any configuration and mod-pack without any troubles.
Radio has 9 buttons, and one text insert area. Buttons allow you to connect to stream link that is provided in text box, Play the stream, turn volume up and down, add stream to playlist, delete it, browse the playlist, clear the stream text-box, paste into it and exit the player.
You can use the radio remote to bind speaker to radio to extend it's range. Just right click on speaker with control and then do the same to radio! Speakers should be placed away (15 - 30 blocks for example) from radio to be effective. Speakers do not increase volume!
Just remember that one radio can have max 10 speakers. Just to make sure people do not go crazy. However you can add dummy speakers around to make it look there are more speakers!
Latest changes:

Thank you for your service. Hope you have a merry xmas. any chance you will be updating to 1.12.2?
Hi! A followup of @Baughn's question: Do we still have any chance of see the source code available? Assuming MichiyoRavencroft is right and this mod is licensed via MIT.
And is there any plans of update (1.12.x) in roadmap? After Michiyo stopped developement of its OpenFM (derived from this mod) we dont have any good player like these for 1.11+.
Thanks in advance for this!
I've got this installed on my server at https://madoka.brage.info. So far it's been pretty popular.
One... no, two questions. First off, is the source code public? I might try to port it for you, but there's no 'source' link at the top here.
Second, and I'd have preferred to check this by reading the code, but -- I'm assuming the client won't download sound for any speakers that are not in range of the player, right?
In reply to Baughn:

Will this be updated to 1.10.2? Love the mod, can't stand listening to predetermined mp3s.
Can you add mpeg 123 support?
our server is using your mod! umsf.zz.am
can the speakers be made to face down when placed in a roof?
Hi the mod is great but do you think you could remove 10 speaker limit or add it to config so we could change it?
I am in singleplayer and I want to have more than 10 speakers bind
Thanks for great mod
I'm trying to find out how to get this to work with my station, I have the M3U file that will allow windows media player to play the live stream link, but not sure how to correctly format the link to allow it to work in game.
When I open the m3u file with notepad, this is what is in it.
#m3u

If someone could figger this out, it would be great.

After some fiddling, it appears that the radio mod can play streams from version 2.4.x.x shoutcast servers but is unable to parse streams from version 1.9.8 shoutcast servers. This is unfortunate because a majority of the popular streams are running on the old version.
This mod can't load stations that have an intro preamble that redirects to the actual stream. Example: the PLS at the top of this page. https://medievalradio.org/
It has problems with shoutcast servers in general.
Hi!
I want paste in radio link like this: http://picosong.com/KCX7/ (Ender Dragon death for trolling :)
