FAQs
Q: Can I add this to my Modpack?
A: Yes, as long as you have a reference back to this post.
Q: Why is this feature missing? When it's going to be added?
A: We are no longer working on the mod
Q: Can I fork the mod, update it add redistribute a new version?
A: Yes, the mod is open source, so you just have to make sure to keep the license the same
Q: How do you convert RF/FE into Electricity (Joules)?
A: The system is made to only convert Electricity into RF/FE, but you can charge and discharge RF/FE items in the battery blocks, so you can get creative and made a system to automate the conversion. You can also make steam using an electric heater and a boiler, and run a dynamo to get the RF/FE.

1.7.10 Information(1.7.10 is no longer supported)
Magneticraft is a mod for those looking for more realistic approach to machines and factories.
This mod introduces two types of energy: Electricity and Heat, as well as many machines producing them, converting them into each other and using them for things such as mining, ore processing or oil processing.
Electricity and Heat can be produced by different sources, including wind, solid fuel, oil, solar panels and others.
Electricity can also be generated from Thermal Expansion RF, RailCraft Charge or IndustrialCraft2 EU and can be converted into RF.

Fission reactor in next update ?
Really love the way this mod is looking. Especially the steam engine, even if I can not figure out how to use it just yet. I have steam piping to it, and i see some steam, but the engine does not animate (unless it doesn't animate just yet) and I can not figure out the wire system to pull power from it.
really no 1.11.2?
I am liking the way this is going. Very happy to see Magneticraft is not dead and being not only updated but also refreshed. :-)
Still written incorrectly... kilo is a lowercase k, this mistake is (as said before) VERY common for non-Europeans... i have no idea why.
lastly, what are gears used for? since the Steam engine can be opened i assumed yo ucould insert gears to make it work better or make more Power, but nope.
Maybe it is just WIP?
lastly, Coke coal from other mods doesn't work in the combustion thingy. was that by choice?
kB? then my browser is wrong http://prntscr.com/grncyx , btw I'm European.
Gears are WIP, I will work on that when the animation system is finished.

what, the definiton of kilo, Mega, Giga, etc change for base 2... because the base number is different.
i know that there was this failure of adding kili, mibi or something which would equal 1024 and then replace the Orginal ones with just 1000. But that never happend becasue even in Modern IT/Computer books kB,MB, etc equal 1024 of the lower unit.
also why would kB and KB be different when the rest of the units are the same 1024 each?
that doesn#t make sense
this is not just in Computer things, even in base 10, kilo is miswritten quite commonly.
In reply to Proxy_Player:
uhh
Why is the RAM in bits... and you miswrote kilo... why is this miswriting of kilo so damn common?
also, Aluminium is useless, becuase every other mod uses the oreDict "Aluminum" for some reason... even tho Aluminium is more commonly used in RL.
lastly, I am disapointed at this

In the 1.10.2 version, can anyone tell me how to get power out of an incendiary generator? I figured out that if I put coal in it, it consumes the coal and generates heat. How do I get power from that? The generator was a "free" map reward in a skyblock-type map, and I need power to run the auto-sieve from Ex Compressum. Any clues?
Still no news? Been a few months, is anything happening with this mod ? :)
