Reptile Mod
Modpacks: You may use my mods in your modpacks. I would appreciate credit for my mod.
Reptiles will spawn in all suitable biomes that are derived from the BiomeGenBase class. This means reptiles will spawn in biomes from the ExtraBiomesXL mod. Reptiles will not spawn in cold biomes, or the Nether or the End.Reptiles are passive mobs, some can be tamed and bred. Some are not so friendly. There are 13 different reptiles, 3 crocodiles, 3 turtles, 5 monitors, and 2 lizards.
Megalania: has gone extinct.
Komodo Dragon:
Eats sheep, pigs and chickens. Larger than the other monitors. They drop leather and beef when killed. Tame them with raw pork and breed them with cooked pork, but be careful.
Savanna Monitor:
Eats pigs, and chickens. This monitor will not attack players at all. They drop leather and beef when killed. Tame them with raw pork and breed them with cooked pork.
Desert Monitor:
Eats pigs, and chickens. This monitor will not attack players at all. They drop leather and beef when killed. Tame them with raw pork and breed them with cooked pork.
Perentie Monitor:
Eats pigs, and chickens. This monitor will not attack players at all. They drop eggs when killed. Tame them with raw pork and breed them with cooked pork.
Lace Monitor:
Eats pigs, and chickens. This monitor will not attack players at all. They drop eggs when killed. Tame them with raw pork and breed them with cooked pork.
Crocodile:
This croc will attack cows, sheeps, pigs, and players, day or night. It's strong and hard to kill. Use a weapon! Luckily this guy is slow so you can outrun it. Kinda rare, only spawn in swampland. This one also drops leather and beef when killed. It's eyes glow at night, easier to spot that way.Credits go to Daveyx0 for the crocodile model look. Although He did a better job than I did. Here is what the croc looks like with Daveyx0's skin.
Large Crocodile
Alligator:
Desert Tortoise:
This is a small Desert turtle that spawns in desert biomes. Tame them with red apples and breed them with carrots.
Giant Tortoise:
These can spawn in most biomes that are not snow covered. Tame them with red apples and breed them with carrots.
Small Turtle:
These can spawn in most biomes that are not snow covered. Tame them with red apples and breed them with carrots.
Chameleon:
These spawn in forest and jungle areas. Tame them with red apples and breed them with carrots
Iguana:
These spawn in forest and jungle areas. Tame them with red apples and breed them with carrots.
Nice mod
Hey, nice mod man!! I really love these reptiles.
Have you consider to add Snakes (poisonous and non poisonous ones) to the mod? It also would be great if you create an Anphibious Mod with Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, Newts and Caecilians.
Hello your mod is very good but they add a way to cure your reptiles because my comfortable dragons have little life like my monitors because they are mistaken and I can not get them to cure them I give them pork and nothing please add how to cure them and fix the drop of the megalania that I kill them in creative and they give me monitor and not megalia and also where the megalia are generated?
and also add the recipe so you can turn the monitor leather into cow leather and add a way you can differentiate the savage dragons from the domesticated

but what you did not understand was that if you add that the monitor hide can be converted (1 a monitor hide in 1 cow leather) into cow leather (common leather)
and the other thing that you understood was that the megalia no suleta megalia hide as it should be released is monitor hide
Hello, this is such a cute mod! I love reptiles, so this is defiantly one of my new favorites. Anyway, sorry for the random question, will the crocodiles and alligators ever be tamable? (I would have an entire army of them if allowed. I love them. xD)

Am I able to disable some mobs in the config? I already have a mod that adds chameleons.
In reply to Yekult10:
Any way to disable spawning in certain dimensions? I have crocs in my twilight forest

The default spawn rate for your mobs is way too high, causing it to overshadow all other spawns in biomes your mobs can spawn in. The vanilla spawn weight for creatures is typically between 4 and 12 (your mobs are registered as creatures so their spawn weight should reflect these values), monsters use values in the 100-range.
In reply to ochotonida:
The normal spawn weights don't always work. You can adjust the spawn weights in the config file. In my worlds I don't have a problem with reptiles spawning too much. If I set the weight to 8 or 12 reptiles don't spawn very often. Actually I rarely see one.
I agree I should be able to set the spawn weight the same as vanilla passive mobs but that has not worked in a long time. Originally I did that and it was fine.
I'll adjust the default weight and see what happens. That is why I have the spawn weight as an option.

I saw in a video on Youtube in this mod the animals drop meats, leathers to craft armor from them. But when i tested it in 1.11.2 version, they are didn't drop nothing. Why? Is that maybe in 1.12 only? In that case please update they drop things in the 1.11.2 version too! Thank you.
