Thaumic Dyes
Ever looked at Thaumcraft's armor and wondered why you can't personalise it? Well, wait no longer!
This addon lets you enhance the armor sets in your collection, so you can bring your style with you as you explore. Like the Crimson look, but wish it came in blue, pink, or maybe black? Now it does - or whatever color you choose.
There might even be a couple of new sets to try out...
This mod is a continuation/rebuild of EtsyTheDragon's Thaumic Upholstery, who we have to thank for creating the original mod!
Yes I do what texture issues? Can you explain? If your talking about the icons for the items I am already working on getting ones that change based on color like the hood does
I did partially mean the icons, but there are a number of actual issues on the model textures as well.
On the fortress armour [img], there are a number of areas that probably should not be affected by the colouring. The grey sections on the chest and pauldrons, and the belt mostly. As a personal preference, I think the studs/rivets on the plating should also remain the original brown colour.
On the crimson robes [img], the centre plate on the chest should probably be changed from red to gold/grey - as on other armour, or should match the dyed colour. Same thing again for the studs/rivets.
There's also some z-fighting on the leg pouch for some reason.
Praetor armour [img] again has several areas that should be uncolourable.
The greaves have no colourable areas, so I'm not sure why they're dyable - and could easily be removed. Same for the helmet, which when dyed has odd results (middle helm was dyed blue), and really has no colourable regions either.
And as a question, will you be extending the mod to add/support the normal crimson cult chest piece [img]? Which, similarly to the praetor set, does not have any colourable regions on the helmet or legs.
IMO, durability should only be increased by 10-20% above the original parts, rather than 20x
ah I see what you mean now I will fix that =) also the z-fighting is to my knowledge always been there. I will be extending support to the boots and knights chest piece. Would you like to have separate armour pieces for praetor etc that retain the original gold but keep the changed colors on the cloth? Edit: Also yes I am aware of the durability issue and have been doing a total rebalance and I will also be making some infusions more difficult/expensive. I plan to add the masks onto the Fortress armour in at least a week.
